As a Designer, you will be responsible for the detailed design of outside plant (OSP) elements (aerial and/or underground) and fiber designs for telecommunication networks. You'll work closely with the engineering team to create constructible GPON network designs using various tools, collaborating with design and construction teams under the guidance of the Design Manager. This role involves both office and field work, supporting construction staff with safety and quality control. Join our True Blue team today and help build the networks of tomorrowEssential Responsibilities:Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for projects such as FTTH deployments and commercial developmentsWork with power company and design power route and one-line schematicsManage growth and sustainment of existing networks, including relocations and infrastructure changesPerform quality control, field checks, and interpret OSP recordsCreate system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotesConduct site walks for data collection and collaborating with cross-functional teamsAbility to adapt within a dynamic work environmentQualifications:Education: College, Trade, or Technical Diploma (preferably civil, electrical/telecommunications, GIS).Experience: 3+ years in OSP telecommunications or related field using AutoCAD.Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam and Adobe.
