Manufacturing Engineer Level 1

Duties
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer, Level 1, to join our team. In this role, you will be a key part of supporting our production and manufacturing processes. You will work closely with senior engineers and production staff to help create and maintain the instructions and workflows that ensure our products are built efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Provide floor support for the development and execution of complex space hardware assembly and test.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing process plans and work instructions. You will also develop and execute roadmaps to streamline processes by leveraging new tooling, equipment, and/or technologies.
  • Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) within an (ERP) environment and coordinate changes and improvements with the design engineering team.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and production line layouts required to optimize the spacecraft build.
  • Coordinate with multiple functional disciplines to solve low-level technical and production problems and minimize the impacts to production workflow.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic and mechanical assembly drawings and define manufacturing steps to meet all requirements.
  • Competent user of common computer programs (e.g., MS Office Suite).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering to write detailed processes for the manufacture of space flight hardware.
