JOB DESCRIPTION:
To provide clinical support services to Nursing Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Knowledge and demonstration of agency core values in day-to-day activities.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Demonstrates the ability to effectively use technology and appropriate use of support.
Providing compassionate patient support and care, attention, and assistance during office visits
Coordinating daily office activities, greeting individuals, and checking individuals in for their appointments
Gathering data and documenting information in EMR and reporting any concerns to nursing leadership
Obtaining and recording vital signs
Drawing blood as needed, when fully trained to do so.
Assist with managing medline calls, obtains necessary information for nursing staff to follow through clinically with the individuals needs
Maintains contact with individuals to assure outcome of medline request are completed
Maintains a central reference point for medline issues for updates/status changes
Obtaining prior authorizations
Obtains PMP documentation as needed for medication review
Looking up HealtheLink documents as requested
Performs clinical activities as assigned
Performs data/spreadsheet, faxing, scanning etc for information flow
Runs reports as requested by Nursing leadership
SKILLS:
Strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences; work and have access to helpful adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services.
Must possess skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and respect for individual's rights and personal preference in treatment are essential
Work effectively on multiple tasks concurrently
Present a strong professional image
Exercise exceptionally good judgment
Exceptional interpersonal skills, judgment, and decision-making skills
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Proficient in the use of computer software such as MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
1 year preferred
Must possess a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record and possess a personal vehicle for job requirement.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATE:
Applicable Certification/Degree in Medical Assisting Preferred but not required
COMPENSATION: $17.46/hr - $22.26/hr
