We're seeking a
Sr. Manufacturing Engineer – GA Dimensional Engineering
to join our client, a leading player in the
automotive manufacturing industry
. In this role, you will ensure that all manufactured parts and assemblies meet strict dimensional and quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in
GD&T, dimensional analysis, and fixture design
, with strong collaboration skills to drive improvements in product precision and manufacturability.

About the Role

As a key member of the engineering team, you will interpret blueprints and CAD models, design and validate fixtures, and collaborate cross-functionally to maintain tight tolerances and ensure production efficiency. This role requires both technical depth and practical problem-solving skills, as you'll help optimize dimensional quality across complex manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret
    technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
    to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance.
  • Design and develop
    functional, efficient, and cost-effective fixtures
    that align with production process flow.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to define and validate
    GD&T requirements
    .
  • Conduct
    tolerance stack-up analyses
    to minimize variations and ensure component fit and performance.
  • Integrate fixtures with
    manufacturing equipment, robotics, and conveyors
    for seamless operation.
  • Identify process improvements and propose design and workflow optimizations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in
    dimensional measurement and quality assurance
    .

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, STEM, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum
    5+ years of experience
    in dimensional engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding and application of
    GD&T standards
    .
  • Proficiency in
    CAD tools
    (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
  • Experience with
    dimensional measurement and metrology tools
    .
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with
    SPC and other quality management systems
    .
  • CQE, Six Sigma, or dimensional measurement certifications
    preferred.
