We are a PE-backed residential services firm and are growing rapidly through organic and acquisitional growth. We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer who can lead the organization in building out our financial and operational infrastructure and serve as the right-hand to ownership in guiding strategic decision making, translating data into actionable items, and advising the operational teams on key metrics and performance. The ideal candidate will be tech-forward and come with experience in deploying robust analytics and reporting tools to drive visibility for decision making, as well as enhance our team's understanding of what the data means and how it can positively impact their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Financial Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to define financial strategies that support sustainable growth, profitability, and scalability.
  • Establish long-range financial objectives aligned with corporate strategy and private equity expectations.
  • Lead M&A financial due diligence, integration planning, and covenant compliance for add-on acquisitions.
  • Advise leadership on market trends, risk and opportunity assessments, and business performance metrics.

Operational Finance & Infrastructure

  • Build and optimize a scalable back-office infrastructure, including accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain financial systems to enhance data accuracy, automation, and reporting efficiency.
  • Oversee the integrity of the general ledger and reconciliation of sub-ledger accounts across entities.
  • Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards across the organization.

Performance Management & Analytics

  • Design and deploy a comprehensive system of KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards to monitor business performance by service line.
  • Provide real-time visibility into key metrics for the CEO and investors, and recommend adjustments to improve results.
  • Partner with operations and sales teams to analyze gross margins, identify performance gaps, and drive revenue and margin growth.

Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes (including scenario modeling and five-year rolling plans).
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, investor reports, and board-level presentations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with investor and audit requirements.
  • Deliver financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required); CPA preferred.
  • Proven success in a private equity–backed environment
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in small to mid-market companies
  • Must be tech-forward with experience implementing broad reporting tools
  • Demonstrated ability to design and leverage key metrics and dashboards to drive operational decision-making.
  • Hands-on, action-oriented leader with a strong sense of urgency and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • High integrity, collaborative approach, and strong business acumen.
