Job Title: FBO Customer Service Representative

Company Summary: Glendale Aero Services is the fixed base operator (FBO) at the Glendale Municipal Airport, located at 6841 N. Glen Harbor Blvd. in Glendale, Arizona. Situated only minutes away from the Westgate Entertainment District, Glendale Aero Services provides fuel and support services to general and business aviation users of the Glendale Municipal Airport and maintenance services for most general aviation aircraft.

Position Summary: Glendale Aero Services is looking for a skilled, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join our FBO team. As a full-time Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing a variety of customer services to flight crews and passengers as well as performing various administrative duties to ensure a smoothly functioning service center.

Overall Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Promote and maintain a positive image of the Glendale Municipal Airport and Glendale Aero Services to all company personnel, customers, vendors, and the community.
  • Greet all arriving aircraft and customers at the counter in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
  • Monitor all aircraft arrivals and departures, maintaining direct and close contact with the Line Service Technicians, to ensure that the FBO operates as a cohesive unit and all customer service needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Provide concierge and other support services to flight crews and passengers including making hotel, catering, rental car and other ground transportation reservations.
  • Ensure that correct fuel orders are placed and dispatched to the line service in a timely manner.
  • Schedule aircraft, set up new accounts, maintain records, process customer purchases and fuel transactions, prepare invoices and receive payment for services.
  • Respond to customers in a warm and respectful manner to promptly handle requests, questions and concerns.
  • Operate office equipment, including computers, credit card machines, fax machines, Unicom, and hand-held radios.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Must have an immediate working knowledge of and experience using PC software for general office functions including MS Word, Excel, Internet, and E-mail.
  • Candidate must have excellent oral/written communication skills as well as organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Must possess a positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment

  • Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

  • Candidate must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening as well as random drug and breath alcohol testing during employment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to hear and speak clearly, including while utilizing telecommunication devices such as hand-held and ground to air radios
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment while meeting specific time requirements
