Responsibilities

  • Collaborates closely with project designers, ensuring the structural safety of various curtain wall features
  • Prepare calculation packages for review and field fixes for unitized curtainwall including anchor re-design and welded connections (a must)
  • Work as a member of a collective project team
  • Communicate and work with other engineers, project managers, derivative designers, 3D modelers, etc.
  • Prepare formal reports and calculations to be stamped by a third-party professional engineer (PE)
  • Facilitate communication and problem solving when disagreements arise with third-party PE and consultants
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the proper and safe execution of technical procedures
  • Door portal design and structural integration with supporting building structure
  • Engineer field fixes for curtainwall and or storefront anchors

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering
