Head of Operations

About Us
Linked Security NY designs and installs commercial and residential security and low-voltage systems across Brooklyn and NYC. Our work includes access control, smart intercoms, CCTV (analog + IP), alarms, and structured cabling/network deployment. We're known for clean installs, fast problem solving on-site, and doing the job right the first time. We're at a growth stage where operations need a dedicated leader. Right now, the CEO is also running all the daily operations responsibilities, and we're ready to hand off day-to-day management to someone who can own it fully.
Role Summary
We're hiring a Head Of Operations to run daily operations and drive execution across the company. You'll manage installation operations, field teams, scheduling, customer experience, sales performance through our existing sales rep, and internal systems. This role requires someone who understands the security systems industry, can lead people, and can translate the big picture into consistent execution.
You are not just supporting the CEO—you are a true second-in-command who keeps the engine running, strengthens the team, and helps steer the business into its next stage.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Installations
Own daily operations across all active projects
Plan and manage installation schedules, labor allocation, and project timelines
Improve install processes to reduce rework, speed up delivery, and protect quality
Coordinate materials purchasing, inventory, staging, and logistics
Step into complex project decisions when needed (field understanding matters)
Ensure jobs meet internal standards, client expectations, and safety/code requirements
People Team Management
Lead field installers, helpers, and office support
Set expectations, track performance, and build accountability
Hire, train, coach, and retain strong talent
Create clear roles, workflows, and growth paths for technicians
Handle day-to-day employee issues early and professionally
Sales Management, Pipeline & Revenue
Directly manage our sales rep and ensure he has what he needs to succeed
Own the health of the sales pipeline: lead flow, follow-ups, estimates, and conversion
Track weekly/monthly sales goals and hold the rep accountable to targets
Build and maintain a clean CRM/workflow so nothing slips through the cracks
Monitor key sales KPIs (lead response time, close rate, average deal size, sales cycle,
win/loss notes)
- Identify gaps in the pipeline and take action fast (adjust outreach, refine offers, improve
follow-up cadence)
Align sales with operations so what's sold is installable, profitable, and scoped correctly
Partner with CEO on pricing strategy, service offerings, and growth priorities
Large Clients & Key Accounts
Personally handle major clients and high-value opportunities
Lead key walkthroughs, scope meetings, and relationship management for large accounts
Manage escalations and deliver solutions that protect long-term relationships
Develop repeat-business channels with property managers, GCs, and portfolio clients
Ensure white-glove communication and close-out standards for top clients
Customer Experience Relationships
Be responsible for client satisfaction from kickoff through close-out
Improve communication standards with customers (updates, ETAs, closeout docs)
Create systems that prevent issues instead of reacting to them
Ensure consistent quality and professionalism across every job
Company Systems & Scaling
Create/refine SOPs so the company runs smoothly without constant CEO involvement
Implement tools for tracking projects, labor, service calls, sales activity, and profitability
Monitor KPIs (job margin, install time, callbacks, tech utilization, sales conversion, etc.)
Identify bottlenecks and fix them before they impact growth
Bring structure without adding unnecessary bureaucracy
What We're Looking For
- Industry experience: 3–7+ years in security systems / low-voltage / access control /
CCTV / intercom / alarm industry (hands-on or operations leadership)
Leadership experience: Proven ability to manage teams and run multi-project operations
Sales or C-suite exposure: You've led revenue or operations at a senior level, or you've
been close to it and understand real ownership
Business mindset: You can zoom out to strategy and zoom in to execution
Strong communicator: Clear with techs, office staff, clients, and partners
Problem solver: You don't freeze when a job goes sideways—you fix the system and
move forward
- Comfortable in the field: You understand what it takes to deliver clean installs in NYC
environments
Traits That Matter Here
Takes responsibility without being asked
Calm under pressure, steady in chaos
Organized but not rigid
Respects craftsmanship and quality
Earns trust from techs while holding the line
Thinks long-term and builds for the next stage
No ego—just results
Awesome Advantage If You Have:
Experience leading service departments or multi-crew operations
Existing NYC property management / GC relationships
Estimating and scope-writing experience
Experience scaling a small/medium installation company
What Success Looks Like
Projects run on time with fewer fire drills
Install crews are productive, supported, and accountable
Sales rep is hitting goals consistently and the pipeline stays full
Large clients feel taken care of without CEO involvement
The business becomes more consistent, scalable, and profitable
