Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals, ensuring their health and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of veterinary practices and a genuine love for animals, contributing positively to our clinic's environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
  • Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Provide proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both staff and patients.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
  • Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and training techniques.
  • Manage the kennel area, ensuring cleanliness and comfort for all animals.
  • Monitor animal behavior and health status, reporting any changes to the veterinarian.
  • Maintain a steady routine to keep appointments flowing.

Skills

  • Experience with laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary medicine.
  • Strong skills in pet care routines, ensuring optimal health and hygiene for animals.
  • Ability to perform animal restraint safely and humanely during examinations or treatments.
  • Ability to draw blood, place IV catheters and surgical care.
  • Experience with taking quality radiograph images.
  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred but not mandatory.
