Director of Clinical Services

Profile Summary:
The Clinical Director is responsible for providing clinical leadership and policy direction for all outpatient treatment programs; maintain accepted standards of medical practice throughout the facility; and provide administrative and professional supervision of all staff. Additionally, the Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring oversight in the areas of: licensing regulations, legal and ethical regulations, clinical supervision, and quality assurance. The Clinical Director will manage the Infusion Clinics. The Clinical Director will be responsible for agency representation, contract monitoring and billing requirements to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support the strategic mission of Infucare.
- Provide oversight for the Outpatient Clinic and help ensure excellence in service delivery.
- Develop, update and implement clinical procedures.
- Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Infusion Clinic, ensuring that all nursing staff adhere to best practices and protocols for infusion therapy.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the safety, effectiveness, and efficiency of infusion therapy services.
- Patient Care: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized infusion therapy plans for patients.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and Clinic policies and procedures.
- Resource Management: Manage the budget, equipment, and supplies for the Infusion Clinic including assisting with purchasing of medication.
- Patient Education: Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding infusion therapy, including medication administration, side effects, and self-care techniques.
- Oversee clinical operations including continuously seeking and implementing best practice of infusion services.
- Be responsive to patient complaints and their timely resolution.
- Be responsible for maintaining Regulatory and Compliance Standards in collaboration with other members of leadership.
- Oversee the referrals to make sure they are completed in a timely manner.
- Report on activities, progress, challenges and opportunities with all aspects of the Infusion centers.
- Actively participate in the selection and staffing of clinical team at the infusion centers, including recruitment, onboarding retention and disciplinary action.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
- Manage nursing schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all infusion centers.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure staff competence and satisfaction.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide direct patient care if needed.
- Assist with On-Call duties as needed.
Education:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred. Candidates must hold an active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing for each state of practice. Additional relevant certifications or professional memberships are preferred
Experience:
- Associates of Science in Nursing as granted by an accredited school of nursing (required).
- Three (3) years of experience in an area of expertise relevant to the department with demonstrated progressive leadership growth.
- IV therapy certification (preferred)
Technical/ Specialized Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of Nursing laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS)

Management Scope:
This position directly supervises individual contributors as well as team leads and/or managers.
Working Conditions:
This position operates in a variety of settings, including infusion centers, patient homes, doctors' offices, and pharmacies. The role occasionally requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls, reaching with arms, climbing stairs, and communicating effectively. Employees may occasionally lift or move office supplies or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. Regular use of pens, paper, computers, tablets, and phones is required. Travel is primarily local during regular business hours, with occasional out-of-area or overnight travel as needed.
