Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Motorcycle Shop Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through service needs, providing expert advice, and ensuring a seamless experience from intake to vehicle pickup. This role requires a strong understanding of motorcycle diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. Experience in dealership settings and motorcycle service management is highly preferred. The Service Advisor will coordinate repairs, upsell maintenance services, and facilitate effective communication between technicians and customers to promote satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their motorcycle service needs
  • Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing accurate estimates using motorcycle estimating tools
  • Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, alignments, and other automotive repairs including diesel engine repair and transmission services
  • Write detailed service orders and ensure all work is documented accurately for technicians
  • Coordinate with mechanics to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
  • Manage vehicle drop-off and pickup processes efficiently, handling cash transactions when necessary
  • Maintain excellent customer service by providing updates on repair status and addressing any concerns or questions
  • Assist in promoting additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue
  • Keep the service area organized and ensure compliance with safety standards

Experience

  • Dealership experience or motorcycle service management background is highly desirable
  • Proven ability in auto service writing, motorcycle diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance procedures
  • Mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, air brakes, shocks & struts, brake repair, suspension, tire service, diesel engines, and alignments
  • Experience with motorcycle repair processes such as auto estimating, service writing, and sales techniques
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity
  • Familiarity with mechanic experience or service technician roles is a plus
  • Prior experience handling cash transactions or motorcycle sales is beneficial
