The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely delivery of milestones and overall project success. Using Microsoft Project, the Scheduler will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to track progress, manage dependencies, and identify risks to the project timeline. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in schedule management within complex, multi-phase projects.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule Development & Management

  • Create an Integrated Master Schedule
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project in alignment with project scope, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Update Business Roadmap Tool

  • Establish baseline schedules and update progress reports regularly.

  • Identify and define task relationships, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Ensure schedule alignment across multiple projects and workstreams.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and report schedule performance, highlighting variances and potential delays.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards for project teams and leadership.
  • Communicate schedule risks, mitigation strategies, and recovery plans.
  • Support earned value management (EVM) and other performance tracking methodologies.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to validate schedule data.
  • Participate in planning meetings, project reviews, and change control discussions.
  • Support resource allocation and workload forecasting activities.

Process Improvement

  • Contribute to the development of scheduling standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Recommend tools and techniques to improve scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years in MS Project and schedule management
