Job Overview

Technical Arts Group (TAG) & Specialized Audio Visual Inc ( SAVI ) is hiring professional Class A OTR Drivers to join our touring and live entertainment production team. This is a full-time, over-the-road (OTR) position supporting major concerts, tours, and special events across North America. When you're not on the road, you'll assist with local deliveries and production support near our home bases.

You will be hauling staging, lighting, sound equipment, and musical instruments for some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Going on tour generally requires drivers to be out from a few weeks to a few months at a time. We treat our drivers like family and part of the important show team. We operate newer, high spec'd tractors (mostly automatic), that have APU's, Fridges, and all the comforts of home. We haul specialized trailers, mostly Dry Vans but some flatbed work is required (we will train for flatbed operations if you are unfamiliar).

Requirements

• Safely operate a truck to transport goods to designated locations.
• Haul staging, audio, video, lighting, and rigging equipment nationwide
• Required to assist in loading and unloading trailers, securing freight with straps and load bars
• Support local/regional trucking needs when not on tour
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Perform majority of driving overnight to meet show load-ins
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies at all times.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of cargo transported.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
• Must be committed to completing the tour once assigned

Position Details

• This is an OTR position first and foremost – expect irregular routes and extended travel
• Hauling primarily 53' dry vans; some flatbed work (we will train if needed)
• Tour durations vary widely – flexibility and commitment are key
• Touring is a completely 'irregular route' opportunity. We operate in all 48 contiguous states and Canada.
• Must be committed to completing the tour once assigned
• Participate in national tours and multi-week productions (10 days to 10 months in duration)

Pay and Miles

• Competitive pay starting at $1,850 per week (with growth opportunities)
• Earn a weekly salary regardless of number of miles driven
• Our drivers average around 60, ,000 miles per year
• Production runs last 7 days to 21 days
• No guaranteed weekends home
• Touring is a completely 'irregular route' opportunity. We operate in all 48 contiguous states and Canada.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailer combinations.
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and freight handling procedures.
• Ability to operate a forklift for loading and unloading purposes.
• Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles.
• Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail when handling freight and maintaining logs.
