As a Security Officer - Patrol in Rapid City, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, engaging with visitors and team members, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as necessary.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the food and beverage facility, including the perimeter and interior areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
• Communicate and collaborate with site staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with company and client requirements.
• Remain visible and approachable while on patrol to offer assistance to employees and visitors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with customer service is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
