Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair, with a focus on diagnostics and maintenance of various vehicle systems. This role requires proficiency in working with both gasoline and diesel engines, as well as familiarity with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of vehicles while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire service, and brake repairs.
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues related to powertrain, transmissions, alignment, suspension, and shocks & struts.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot vehicle electrical systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used for customer transparency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's condition and required services.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop environment.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, preferably with dealership experience.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures.
- Experience with diesel engine repair is a plus.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and ADAS technology is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read schematics and technical documents related to vehicle repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Welding skills are a plus but not required.
