Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate construction projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role involves managing project schedules, ensuring safety compliance, supervising field teams, and maintaining quality standards to deliver projects on time and within scope. The Construction Supervisor will play a vital role in ensuring efficient operations, adherence to blueprints and schematics, and effective communication among stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other construction management tools for scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
  • Monitor project progress against schedules; update project timelines using Primavera or similar scheduling software.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations.
  • Enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations; conduct safety meetings and site audits regularly.
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment; oversee contracts and change orders as needed.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate field personnel; foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues using tools such as ohmmeters or other diagnostic equipment as required on-site.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising construction sites.
  • Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and related tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
  • Familiarity with contracts administration and managing subcontractors.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is required.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated supervising experience in large-scale construction projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective coordination among teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately; experience with management of pipeline or heavy civil projects is a plus.
  • Technical proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters for quality control inspections is desirable. This position offers an opportunity to lead impactful projects within a dynamic team environment dedicated to excellence in construction management.
