### About the Role:
The IT Sourcing Consultant will guide public bodies through the COV Ramp process, focusing on negotiating Cloud and SaaS contract terms to meet IT and security requirements. This role involves reviewing solicitations and contracts, ensuring compliance with VPPA and VITA policies, and collaborating with agencies and suppliers to achieve fair, compliant agreements. The consultant will also assist in process improvements, documentation, and procurement training initiatives.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Review and negotiate Cloud/SaaS contracts and terms & conditions.
- Ensure compliance with Virginia procurement laws and VITA security standards.
- Collaborate with agencies and suppliers to resolve complex contract issues.
- Propose alternate contract language and mitigate risks.
- Track Cloud requests, report metrics, and support process documentation.
- Support procurement training and continuous process improvements.
- Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years in IT procurement or contracting (Cloud/SaaS preferred).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of contract types, procurement methods, and risk assessment.
- Experience with public sector or state/local government procurement (highly desired).
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Public Administration preferred.
- Familiarity with VPPA and VITA guidelines a plus.
