Location

This position is a remote position located in New York City that requires regular customer & partner meetings in territory. Candidates not in New York will be automatically disqualified.

Job Summary
If you watch the NFL, chances are you've seen us, on the commercials, on the sidelines, and behind the scenes powering the game. NetApp is the official data storage organization of the NFL, helping the league capture, move, and protect massive volumes of data, from live game footage and replay systems to advanced analytics and content creation.

Now, we're looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our Enterprise Sales team in New York and support one of the most exciting, high-visibility accounts in our business: the NFL. This is where technology meets sports, and where your work directly impacts how millions of fans experience the game. You'll bring deep technical knowledge in data infrastructure, storage, and media asset management, spanning everything from front-end workflows (video, photo) to back-end architecture. You'll partner with one of our Enterprise Client Executives to design intelligent data solutions that keep the league's systems running flawlessly, on and off the field

What You'll Do:

  • Act as the technical quarterback for one of NetApp's marquee customers, leading technical discovery, solution design, and delivery strategy.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with technical buyers and architects across the NFL organization, franchises, and media partners.
  • Ask smart, probing questions that uncover business challenges and turn them into innovative, high-value technical solutions.
  • Be self-sufficient in customer meetings: confident leading two-person calls, organizing follow-ups, and articulating complex technical concepts in plain language.
  • Architect data solutions that span on-prem, hybrid, and cloud leveraging the full power of the NetApp portfolio.
  • Collaborate across product management, engineering, and partner ecosystems to drive successful outcomes for your customer.
  • Stay curious. Keep learning. Bring ideas forward. Help the team expand deeper into sports, media, and entertainment, from the NFL to emerging relationships with MLB, NHL, UFC, and beyond.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years current and recent experience in solutions engineering/sales engineering/pre-sales roles.
  • 5+ years current and recent experience working in a technology b2b sales enviroment where you're tied to a quota that you're achieving or better yet OVER achieving
  • Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-scale storage and data management solutions. Strong understanding of on-prem and hybrid environments, with cloud familiarity (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Background in media workflows, data pipelines, or AI-driven content management is a major plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to simplify the complex and connect technical value to business outcomes.
  • Candidates that posses experience as a SE working with Media, Sports, Entertainment accounts will be strongly considered.

Compensation:

The target salary range for this position is $176,000 USD - $228,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
