Position Overview:

We're seeking a skilled Small Engine Repair Mechanic with hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining small engines and portable construction equipment.

You'll work on top brands like Honda, Wacker Neuson, Husqvarna, Stihl, Mi-T-M, Generac, Kohler, and Miller Welders, including:

  • Portable Generators
  • Gas-Powered Cut-Off Saws
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Compactor Plates
  • Chainsaws
  • Water Pumps
  • Miller and Lincoln Welders (certification is a plus)
  • Other small construction equipment

This is a hands-on position where your mechanical skills and attention to detail help keep our customers' equipment running smoothly, safely, and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain small gas engines and portable equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, carburetor cleaning, tune-ups, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues
  • Order and track parts as needed
  • Maintain accurate service records and update work orders
  • Keep the shop organized, clean, and safe
  • Occasionally assist customers by explaining repairs and providing maintenance advice

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
  • 2+ years of small engine repair experience (construction equipment preferred)
  • Knowledge of engines such as Honda, Husqvarna, Stihl, Kohler, and Miller
  • Ability to read service manuals and follow diagnostic procedures
  • Basic computer skills (work orders, part tracking)
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Must own basic mechanic tools (specialty tools provided)

Pay: $40, $70,000.00 per year
