Chris Christensen Systems, LLC, part of Nexus Brands Group's Pet Group, is a leader in the dog show and grooming industries that manufactures a variety of products for show enthusiasts and professional groomers including shampoos, conditioners, odor control, styling products, and more. We have a wide variety of products, with over 425 SKUs, 70% of which are manufactured within our warehouse located in Fairfield, Texas. We are seeking a hard-working, detail oriented, self-starter to add to our warehouse family.
Position Overview
2nd Shift Production Supervisor assists team with bottling, packaging, and labeling finished products according to product & packaging specifications. Operate and maintain filling stations and work with other team members to meet nightly production goals. Shift Supervisor is responsible for opening and closing facility for 2nd shift and ensuring workstations are cleaned and prepped for smooth transition to next shift. Supervise team members within the department and manage workloads to align with overall production goals.
What you'll be doing
- Work within a fast-paced environment to maintain daily production output
- Supervise, coach and counsel team members as supported by upper management and HR.
- Provide training and development for team members
- Create/conduct annual reviews and 90-day post hire assessments, while maintaining records in accordance with confidentiality requirements.
- Manage team member time off requests and timecards to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Initiate and coordinate team engagement activities to promote good morale and foster camaraderie among team members.
- Report any safety hazards or injuries to HR immediately via appropriate forms
- Ensure equipment is always operated safely and properly
- Data entry using NetSuite software and other internal programs used for tracking orders and inventory.
- Operate filling stations and equipment as needed.
- Assist with gathering correct bottles, labels, caps and other packaging according to product specifications
- Perform daily/weekly cycle counts on raw materials
- Accurately prepare and complete various paperwork as required
- Oversee and assist with cleaning duties and ensure team members do same
- Safely lift and maneuver drums at full capacity (400 – 500 lbs.) using dollies and pallet jacks
- Properly wash empty drums (approx. 20 lbs. when empty) and clean pumping kettles as assigned
- Enforce workplace safety policies and guidelines
- Perform other duties and responsibilities that are reasonable and consistent with such position and as assigned to you from time to time

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to provide steel-toed shoes to comply with safety regulations.
- Satisfactory results of a background check
- Previous leadership experience with managing people and operations
- Experience performing transactions in NetSuite or other ERP systems
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Ability to show up and be on time for scheduled shifts
Job Environment and Requirements
Environment: This role requires working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment where there is exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
Working Hours: Must be willing and able to adhere to the work schedule:
- Regular: Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. (Fridays as assigned)
- Summer: Monday through Thursday, 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
- Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts are essential and required
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
