Join a dynamic team at our client, a leading organization dedicated to innovation and excellence in construction management.

Execute the company's communication strategy by managing daily updates, collecting content, and supporting campaigns that keep employees informed and connected. This role plays a key part in maintaining communication platforms, coordinating recognition stories, and assisting in the delivery of an annual awards show and other company initiatives.

Position Details

  • Platform Management & Posting
  • Manage day-to-day updates on SharePoint (Connect) and Viva Engage, ensuring accurate, timely, and engaging posts.
  • Draft and publish internal announcements, events, and highlights following brand and writing guidelines.
  • Support internal newsletter coordination, including scheduling, layout, and content updates.
  • Maintain internal communication calendars to align timing across departments.

Content Collection & Coordination

  • Gather stories, photos, and updates from teams across the company.
  • Coordinate approvals with managers and department leads for content accuracy and tone.
  • Upload and organize content assets (photos, quotes, documents) in shared libraries.
  • Track and manage requests for SharePoint or Viva posts, newsletters, and campaign support.

Awards & Recognition Support

  • Assist with planning and content support for the internal Awards Show that celebrates Southland employees and projects.
  • Coordinate nominations, data entry, and communication timelines.
  • Draft and edit short-form recognition content (award spotlights, honoree blurbs, milestone features).
  • Partner with creative and regional teams to collect visuals and details.
  • Support follow-up recognition content on SharePoint and Viva Engage after the event.

Campaign & Event Communication

  • Support internal campaigns related to company culture, safety, and engagement.
  • Help promote Town Halls, volunteer events, and employee programs through internal channels.
  • Work with HR and L&D on posting updates related to onboarding, benefits, and professional development.
  • Coordinate schedules and logistics for communication deliverables tied to major internal events.

Analytics & Tracking

  • Monitor engagement across internal channels (SharePoint, Viva Engage, newsletters).
  • Document performance metrics and feedback to share with the Senior Communications Manager.
  • Track completion and engagement for internal campaigns and recognition initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to align shared stories and cross-promotions.
  • Partner with the creative and digital teams for visuals, videos, and campaign assets.
  • Support overall consistency in tone, look, and feel across internal communications.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in communications, corporate communications, or marketing.
  • Strong writing, editing, and organization skills with high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as SharePoint, Viva Engage, Teams, or similar internal communication tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and proactive, with strong interpersonal skills for cross-department coordination.
  • Timely and accurate delivery of internal content across all platforms.
  • High engagement rates on SharePoint and Viva posts.
  • Smooth coordination and execution of recognition programs and Awards Show logistics.
  • Positive internal feedback on clarity, relevance, and frequency of communications.
  • Consistent collaboration with creative, HR, and external comms partners.
