Overview

Drodex is recruiting a Financial Analyst to support a high-impact office within HHS-ASPR.The role involves assisting senior leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and spend plan management to support public health preparedness and response operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting federal financial planning or budget execution, with strong analytical and communication skills and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.

You will directly support Center for Response (CFR), Immediate Office (IO) to ensure the full execution of the office's financial portfolio. Directly coordinating with Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) executives, within CFR IO, the incumbent will consult on evolving program and response requirements against ASPR's federal budget. ASPR's financial portfolio is extremely nuanced and will require a Sr. Financial Analyst that is both familiar and adaptable working with dynamic financial demands. Agency executives will look to the incumbent to report and forecast spending to inform their decision making and ensure that the agency can continue its mission protecting Americans.

Location: Washington, DC

Onsite Requirements: Hybrid (mostly remote, 1 day onsite or on as needed basis)

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, formulation, and execution of program budgets across CFR IO.
  • Analyzing, preparing, and presenting monthly and yearly financial data, analyzing resources and expenses, and assisting in verifying and maintaining financial data integrity.
  • Overseeing and conducting financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting and develops metrics to drive process improvements and provide decision support to staff leadership.
  • Providing Subject Matter expertise in financial planning and budget execution.
  • Providing business and financial expertise to programmatic offices. Responsible for drafting, analyzing, and documenting current business processes.
  • Working with process owners, program leaders' participants, and end users to develop and implement improved financial models.
  • Providing financial spending plan administration for OOR Programs Division.

Qualifications

Required Education

  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree

Required Experience

  • 4-8 years in government financial planning and budget formulation, or execution
  • Management of multiple spend plans and budgets concurrently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Power Platforms (i.e., Power Apps, Power BI and Excel)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with complex federal portfolios
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Effective team player
  • Motivated self-starter

Required Clearance

Must be able to obtain a Tier 2 Security Clearance
