About the role:
As the Director of Product Management - Commerce Experiences, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for our customer-facing commerce experiences. You will lead cross-functional teams to build world-class experiences for customer account management, invoicing, billing, inventory management, and license management. Your work will directly support our customers' experiences in doing business with Samsara - improving this will drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US.
In this role, you will:

  • Define Strategy: Shape the long-term (3+ year) direction & roadmap for account and commerce experience, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Build New Experiences: Relentlessly focus on customer needs, delivering net new experiences urgently and iteratively
  • Drive Impact: Influence the organization to pursue complex, shared objectives and achieve ambitious goals. Have a function-wide impact and contribute to the overall functional strategy.
  • Build, Develop, and Lead teams: Lead and develop product and project teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Champion Our Principles: Instill a culture of simplicity and efficiency, eliminating bureaucracy by leading the evolution of organizational structures, tools, and technologies. Foster cross-functional collaboration to achieve shared goals.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Proven experience as a leader of product teams, with a track record of successfully launching and scaling account management and self-serve commerce products.
  • Experience in a Director-level role or equivalent, managing multiple teams and product portfolios.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a product strategy from conception through to launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Strong understanding of customer account management, billing, invoicing, and inventory systems.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence cross functional teams at an executive level.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a focus on building and inspiring high-performing teams.

Samsara's Compensation Philosophy:
Samsara's compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles. For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.

We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$154,000—$275,000 USD
