I2X Technologies is seeking a Systems Administrator to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret clearance, Top Secret preferred.

  • Analyze, maintain, and optimize multi-user system architectures and configurations across Red Hat Linux, Windows, and Solaris environments to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable operations
  • Responsible for administration and maintenance of Red Hat Linux servers
  • Install and configure Red Hat Linux / Windows / Solaris operating systems
  • Ensure compliance with computer security policy, Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software
  • Coordinate installation and provides backup recovery
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources 
  • Setting up administrator and service accounts
  • Maintaining system documentation
  • Analyze system/network telemetry to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Applying monthly operating system/COTS updates/patches
  • Installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space
  • Provide analytical troubleshooting and system engineering support across enterprise IT environments
  • Monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices for the program
  • Methodical approach to diagnosing issues.
  • Ability to document steps and resolutions.
  • Explaining technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Writing clear documentation and support tickets.
  • Working with senior engineers, developers, and end-users.
  • Willingness to learn from others.
  • Handling multiple tickets or projects without losing focus and knowing when to escalate.
  • Pursuing certifications and hands-on practice.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in STEM

Sec+ certification; can obtain within 90 days of start; having cert upon start is HIGHLY preferred

15 years of professional experience minimum

Proficiency in Linux (basic administration, user management, file systems, permissions) and Windows Server. 

Understanding TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewalls.

Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues with tools like ping, tracert, nslookup

Exposure to VMware and/or KVM.

Patching and updates (WSUS, Linux package managers).

Basic scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python for repetitive tasks.

Understanding of automation tools like Ansible

Account management, least privilege, MFA, and patching for security.

Essential Requirements:

US Citizenship is required and must be only citizenship held

Active Secret clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI

Dual citizenship will be disqualified per facility clearance requirements
