HMNO Program Manager
Greenwood Village, CO
Who We Are:
Excelacom is a global consulting and technology solutions firm solving client's complex business and technology challenges through a mix of consulting expertise, telecom-focused software, and managed services within the communications and media industries.
Who You Are:
You are an experienced Program Manager who has managed complex wireless or mobile initiatives across multiple technical and business teams. You are strong at structuring work, coordinating cross-functional groups, managing timelines, identifying risks, and communicating progress. You understand mobile networks enough to work confidently with engineering, network operations, mobile core, RAN, OSS/BSS, and device teams — without needing to be deeply technical. Most importantly, you are a detail-oriented planner who can translate business needs into written requirements, documentation, status reporting, and delivery plans.
As a Consultant, you'll contribute to client engagements by delivering insights, building deliverables, and leading workstreams. You'll be expected to bring strong analytical thinking, and a proactive mindset to solve client problems and drive transformation.
Role and Responsibilities:
You may work on various projects throughout your career with Excelacom. The roles and responsibilities noted below pertain to the specific role listed above.
- Manage one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide mobile programs consisting of multiple projects
- Align delivery with broader technical and business strategic initiatives
- Create detailed product requirements and documentation based on stakeholder input and customer needs
- Coordinate across engineering, network operations, IT mobile, device, and product teams to ensure seamless feature delivery
- Ensure technical feasibility of new product capabilities, working with engineering teams to identify and resolve challenges
- Monitor schedules, milestones, risks, and delivery across the program lifecycle—from inception to launch
- Report roadmap progress, program status, risks, KPIs, success metrics, and development issues
- Analyze data and performance metrics to measure product success and identify areas for improvement
- Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams, executives, and vendors
- Manage budgets, governance controls, and stakeholder expectations
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, wireless standards, customer experience priorities, and internal operational processes
- Work closely with clients to identify process improvements
- Analyze business challenges and recommend technology-driven solutions
- Support system development, integration, and testing activities
- Develop presentations, deliverables, and implementation plans
- Assist with proposals and business development efforts
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
- Prior consulting experience – in an agile environment – with a leading strategy firm, consulting practice, or consulting technology firm
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 5–10 years experience as a Program Manager in telecom, wireless, mobile, or CSP environments
- Experience working with mobile core, RAN, EPC, IMS, VoLTE, or 4G/5G network programs
- Strong requirement-writing and documentation skills (BRDs, PRDs, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria)
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple interdependencies
- Experience coordinating network, IT, engineering, operations, and vendor teams
- Solid risk management and stakeholder communication skills
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or project reporting tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Telecommunications, Media, or Cable is highly preferred
- Past success in generating new business with existing clients
- Good time management and collaboration skills
- Experience with mobile core, RAN, or HMNO product environments is a major plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Excelacom offers competitive salaries, health and wellness benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and career growth opportunities. For regular full-time employees, the estimated salary range is from $85,000 to $100,000.
