Housing Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a caring and dependable House Coordinator to manage the daily operations of our transitional housing program for young adults aged 18–24. This position is ideal for someone who has experience managing a group living environment, has personally experienced housing insecurity, or has CNA or caregiver experience, looking to make a meaningful impact. The House Coordinator will help create a supportive, structured, and empowering space where participants can grow, heal, and move toward independence.
Duties
- Supervise and support young adult residents (ages 18–24) as they work toward independent living
- Manage day-to-day household routines, including cleanliness, meal prep, and shared responsibilities
- Prepare basic meals and maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Enforce house guidelines while offering encouragement and support
- Ability to provide trauma-informed care, conflict management, and crisis interventions as needed.
- Conduct regular check-ins with residents and participate in house meetings
- Support residents in developing life skills, structure, and positive habits
- Coordinate with staff and social workers to support each resident's progress
- Ensure safety, structure, and a welcoming atmosphere in the home
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Individuals with lived experience in homelessness, caregiving, foster care, or transitional housing are strongly encouraged to apply
- Open to non-traditional students or individuals currently enrolled in college
- Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills
- Comfortable managing household duties such as cleaning and meal prep
- Ability to work on-site part-time and serve as a consistent, positive presence
- Reliable, dependable, and able to maintain healthy boundaries while building community
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
