Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced fine dining environment. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly to enhance the dining experience for our guests. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers.

Duties

  • Coordinate the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Monitor food preparation processes to maintain quality and presentation standards.
  • Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order modifications or special requests.
  • Ensure that all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Support servers by bussing tables and assisting with customer service as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting area, including proper storage of supplies.

Skills

  • Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is required.
  • Strong kitchen experience, including food preparation and cooking skills.
  • Familiarity with banquet service and hospitality practices is a requirement.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
  • Bi-lingual a plus
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on enhancing guest satisfaction.
