Duties and Responsibilities:
The Career Transition Specialist Supervisor is responsible for organizing, planning, administering, and supervising the CTS Program through cohort enrollment and case management efforts. The Career Transition Specialist Supervisor plans, directs, and supervises the activities of the Career Transition Readiness and Career Transition Services Programs, including ensuring proper planning, scheduling, and effective implementation of all activities in program areas. Prepares and reviews reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished and objectives attained. Prepares and submits reports as required. Ensures proper records of student progress are maintained by the CTR/Career Transition Department. Sets monthly goals for placement and monitors goals. Enacts corrective action as needed to correct deficiencies. Screens and monitors placement information. Audits files to ensure data is captured for all possible placements. Coordinates and participates in open houses, Job Fairs, Career Days, etc. Assigns and monitors staff and contract caseloads. Ensures proper placer assignments and processes transfers of assignees when relocating.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in counseling or related field from a four-year college preferred.Two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Prefer Master's degree and expansive experience with disadvantaged youth preferred.Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred. Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.Sound knowledge of vocational training programs.*This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by a person assigned to this job.
