Role Overview

As a Healthcare Service Support Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting veterans and clinical staff by processing medical service and equipment orders through various channels. You will ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of requests, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. This role combines administrative, technical, and customer-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare support environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process orders from veterans, clinicians, and hospital staff via phone, mail, and electronic systems.
  • Accurately enter and fulfill orders in the system, ensuring all required information is complete.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as incorrect addresses, missing data, or system errors.
  • Guide clinicians through remote order entry systems and assist with:
  • Device registration
  • Model and serial number changes
  • Telehealth service entries
  • Open and process mailed-in forms (e.g., postcards with checkboxes) and integrate them into the system.
  • Ensure compliance with call center objectives, performance standards, and policies.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare reports and analyze data to support management decisions.
  • Assist with timecard administration, scheduling, and supply requests.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of relevant experience (2+ years preferred)
  • Experience with report writing, file administration, and data entry
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a structured environment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Additional Requirements

Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This includes background checks covering criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
