About the Role

The PHO – Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations while delivering an exceptional guest experience that reflects the Hotel Phoenix brand. This role plays a key part in maintaining service excellence, operational efficiency, and team engagement.

The Assistant Restaurant Manager assists with staff leadership, guest satisfaction, financial performance, and compliance with food safety and health regulations. This position serves as a hands-on leader on the floor, ensuring smooth service execution while fostering a positive and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in leading and supervising restaurant staff, including training, scheduling, and performance coaching

  • Support daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to brand standards

  • Deliver exceptional guest service by addressing concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming, polished atmosphere

  • Monitor food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure quality and consistency

  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost control initiatives

  • Enforce all health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local and state regulations

  • Collaborate with culinary and front-of-house teams to optimize workflow and service execution

  • Support marketing and promotional initiatives to drive guest engagement and repeat business

  • Assist with preparing operational reports and supporting budgetary goals

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related education preferred

  • Previous experience in restaurant supervision or an assistant management role

  • Working knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards

  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Experience in a high-volume or fast-casual restaurant environment

  • Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and inventory management software

  • Food safety or hospitality management certification

  • Demonstrated ability to support sales growth and enhance guest satisfaction
