Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and leading a team of electricians. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to read blueprints. The Lead Electrician will play a crucial role in both renovation projects and new installations, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

What We're Looking For:

We're hiring a Commercial Electrician with at least 3 years of hands-on experience, preferably in commercial building environments. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel to job sites across VA, DC, and MD, and be open to working overtime as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of electrical experience
• Prior experience with commercial buildings
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
• Ability to travel to various job sites in Virginia, D.C., and Maryland
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with local electrical codes and safety standards

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians on various projects.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Run conduit, pull wire, and install devices and fixtures
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Adhere to company and OSHA safety standards on all job sites
• Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and supervisors
• Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed
• Installation of panelboards, switchboards and generators

Skills

• Proficient in using electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
• Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and their applications.
• Ability to read blueprints accurately for effective installation planning.
• Experience with power tools and hand tools essential for electrical work.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Strong leadership abilities to manage a team effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
• Skilled in installing panelboards, switchboards, and generators.
