Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Security Supervisor to lead our security team and ensure a safe, secure environment across our facilities. As a Security Supervisor, you will oversee daily security operations, coordinate response efforts, and implement proactive measures to prevent loss and maintain safety, as well as perform guard duties when needed. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a secure atmosphere that supports our organizational goals while providing exceptional protection for staff, visitors, and assets. This role offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals with a passion for safety, security management, and team leadership. *MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILTY IN ORDER TO WORK /PROVIDE COVERAGE WHEN NECESSARY

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of security personnel to ensure effective coverage across all areas of the facility.
  • Cover shifts as needed
  • Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by coordinating with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, or internal teams as needed.
  • Oversee conflict management efforts by de-escalating situations calmly and professionally while ensuring safety for all parties involved.
  • Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance records to support investigations and compliance requirements.
  • Provide first aid or CPR when necessary and ensure team members are trained in basic emergency response techniques.
  • Lead training sessions on security procedures, conflict resolution, CCTV operation, and loss prevention techniques.
  • Stay current with industry best practices in security management and incorporate new technologies such as CCTV upgrades or surveillance innovations.

Skills

  • Proven experience in security management or law enforcement roles with a strong understanding of security operations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of security personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV), access control systems, and loss prevention strategies.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly through conflict management and crisis response skills.
  • First aid certification along with CPR training to respond effectively during medical emergencies.
  • Firewatch certification
  • Familiarity with military or law enforcement background is advantageous for tactical decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with emergency responders, staff, and visitors clearly and professionally.
  • Knowledge of legal regulations related to security operations within the jurisdiction of employment.
