Job Description:

As part of Analog Devices Cloud Power software team, you will play a key role in developing leading-edge products and technology. Working within a talented team of software and hardware engineers, you will be responsible for maintaining firmware, troubleshooting problems, producing documentation, and adding new features by working with Product Definers and Design Engineers.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing embedded solutions and hardware/software integration. You must be a creative problem solver with excellent verbal and written communications skills. You'll be involved in the complete product life cycle from concept through internal validation to customer system mass production.

The position includes working in collaboration with other firmware engineers located in the US and other locations to support firmware developments within the Business Unit.

Candidate will work in a dynamic team in the Austin Design Center and be responsible for firmware design of digital IPs in mixed-signal integrated circuits for the Cloud Power market.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, Develop and Validate embedded firmware and low-level system software for chips and products targeting Cloud & Datacenter Power market
  • Understand sub-system requirements and validate chip/system operation
  • Test and Debug embedded firmware through simulations, on FPGA-based emulating platforms and chips using test equipment and test automation
  • Develop test code/scripts for logical and functional test of the software.
  • Deliver quality embedded system firmware with very good documentation
  • Follow coding standard and code documentation requirements
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Understand power management and Power Delivery. Become knowledgeable & develop competence in multiphase converters
  • Work with analog, digital and System Designers, Product definers and Applications Engineers, and other company software team members.

Define and create SW tools to improve ease of use for configuration and customer debug of Cloud Power devices.

Develop software and firmware for reference designs and demo boards
