Job Description

As a Security Officer - Hospital Site Patrol Specialist in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and provide outstanding customer service while responding to situations as needed. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and respond to security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately, following company and healthcare facility protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and visitors to provide assistance and support as needed while maintaining a secure environment.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies and procedures during daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to assist with restraining individuals in a hospital environment.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
