Duties

  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations with precision and attention to detail
  • Analyze financial documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and expense reports to ensure accurate reporting
  • Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools to organize data efficiently
  • Review client records to identify potential deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities
  • Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize client benefits
  • Communicate clearly with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax positions, and answer questions
  • Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks including data entry, account reconciliation, and maintaining organized financial records
  • Support marketing efforts by promoting our services through client engagement and community outreach initiatives
  • Collaborate with team members on technical accounting projects related to corporate accounting or financial analysis
  • Maintain meticulous records of all prepared returns, correspondence, and client interactions for future reference

Skills

  • Strong understanding of tax preparation procedures combined with practical experience in public accounting or related fields
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms for bookkeeping and financial management
  • Solid knowledge of financial concepts including analysis skills necessary for interpreting complex data sets
  • Excellent math skills coupled with 10-key typing proficiency for efficient data entry
  • Effective communication skills to provide exceptional customer service and explain technical information clearly
  • Ability to apply technical accounting principles within a fast-paced environment while adhering to deadlines
  • Experience in financial sales or marketing strategies to promote services and grow client relationships
  • Familiarity with corporate accounting practices and bookkeeping fundamentals for diverse client needs
  • Analytical mindset capable of performing detailed analysis of financial documents and identifying discrepancies or opportunities
