We currently have an immediate opportunity for an Forklift Operator to join at our ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA location.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Shift Hours: 2:30pm - 11pm

PREAMBLE

Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead, the Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift or elevating platform, to push, lift, stack, or move products or materials by performing the following duties. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Good Warehouse Practices (GWPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids,Boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area Unloads and stacks material by using lifting deviceMaintain Inventory accuracy.  Maintain warehouse organized and clean Support other departments to achieve company goals.Responsible for following Food Safety Guidelines (Allergen segregation)   Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device. Must be able to document information as per SOP Accurate Data Entry using a handheld scanner or a desktop while performing core warehouse functionsComplies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs, cGMPs and GWPs guidelines 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: 

Must have knowledge of warehousing procedures.   Must have forklift certification.Must be at least 18 years of age.High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Must have basic math skills.Effective written communication skills, including legibility.Strong attention to detail.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Must be detail oriented and organized.  Must be flexible to change priorities on assigned tasks. Must be able to read, write and speak English well enough to complete assigned tasks and communicate effectively.  Must be able to interface with different level of associates.  Must have legible handwriting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Moderate level of physical effort required for a variety of physical activities to include walking, standing and sitting, stacking of goods.  Significant level of mental / visual effort required in order to assure accuracy of information entered to the mainframe of PC software during shipping and receiving process.  Ability to see the letters and numbers on a PC screen and on paper documents (near vision).   Ability to talk to and hear persons contacted on the job; moderate hand coordination for the use of the PC keyboard.   Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.
