As a manager or senior manager at ECG, you'll be an important part of our consulting team. Not only will you partner with some of the industry's best to reach your highest goals, but you will also make a real difference in people's lives and grow personally and professionally while doing so. Your Responsibilities May Include
- Managing selected client relationships.
- Leading appropriate client presentations.
- Leading information-gathering efforts.
- Assisting in developing and managing work plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Defining project analyses and deliverables.
- Leading teams and implementing recommended solutions.
- Working on multiple engagements.
- Communicating project progress and seeking input.
- Coaching junior team members.
- Developing depth of technical expertise.
- Identifying follow-on opportunities and helping scope and close follow-on engagements.
- Working closely with multiple project teams and ECG senior consulting leaders.
- Taking responsibility for project outcomes.
- Communicating effectively with management and executive-level client staff.
- Drafting proposals.
- Learning about ECG's breadth of solutions and identifying those that reflect personal and professional interests.
- Participating in peer and junior staff knowledge development and career advancement.
- Demonstrating the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and personal life.
- Acting as an ECG ambassador within personal, professional, and alumni networks.
- Senior manager level only: contributing to firm growth by identifying and pursuing follow-on and new business opportunities targeting $500,000 in revenue per year.
Our Expectations of You
- Strong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industry
- Master's degree in business administration and/or master's degree in a health-related field; bachelor's degree in business or a health-related field preferred
- Progressive experience in healthcare supply chain, i.e. medical and surgical supplies, purchase services, and vendor supply chain management
- Subject matter expert in driving measurable savings related to pricing and utilization of supplies
- Expertise in strategic sourcing and value analysis for med-surg supplies, surgical supplies, and/or purchase services
- Manager level requirement: Five to seven years of combined consulting and/or hospital supply chain
- Senior manager level requirement: Seven to ten years of combined consulting and/or hospital supply chain
- Demonstrated record of solving complex problems, directing and managing individuals, and completing challenging projects
- Track record of managing multiple engagements, including work plans, deliverables, budgets and schedules, and accounts receivable
- Demonstrated record of achievement in selling and managing engagements
- Demonstrated focus on staff development, coaching, and retention, with a refined ability to provide constructive and timely feedback
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills
- Ability to travel at least 60% - 70% of the time
Job Locations

- Hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of two days per week in office when not traveling for a client engagement

The estimated base salary range for this job is $150,000 – $232,000 annually. It represents a good-faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes. This job is eligible to participate in ECG's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG's pay-for-performance philosophy. The job is also eligible to participate in ECG's benefit plans, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k) matching program; unlimited PTO; and other wellness programs.
