Quality Test Technician – QC Control

Location: Franklin Park, IL

Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (First Shift)

Pay: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour (based on experience)

TekPro is partnered with a long-standing manufacturing company in Franklin Park, IL that specializes in liquid and fluid handling equipment. We're seeking a Quality Test Technician (QC Control) to join their dedicated team. This role is hands-on — you'll be testing fully assembled systems to ensure everything functions properly before final sign-off by the Quality Lead. This is not an inspector role focused on individual components or materials, but rather a testing and troubleshooting position that supports the production of complex, high-quality equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control testing on electrical and hydrodynamic (hydraulic) systems to verify performance and compliance with company standards.
  • Work directly with the Quality Lead to identify and correct any performance issues.
  • Inspect and diagnose returned systems and components for possible repair or warranty evaluation.
  • Conduct incoming inspections on new parts to ensure they meet drawings and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the fabrication team during mechanical assembly.
  • Occasionally travel for on-site inspections or troubleshooting (0–10% travel).
  • Maintain high safety standards in all work areas.
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of related hands-on experience testing or troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and hydrodynamic (hydraulic) principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic or international).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and kneel for extended periods, sometimes in confined spaces.
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs, with occasional pushing or pulling of heavier objects.
  • Ability to travel by car or airplane for extended durations when required.
