We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide/Server to join our team in providing exceptional meal service and nutritional support within our assisted living community. This role involves assisting with food preparation, serving residents, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or dietary departments, with a strong focus on customer service, food safety, and efficient meal delivery. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of residents while working in a supportive and professional setting.
Responsibilities for the Dietary Aide/Server
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Serve meals to residents in a courteous and timely manner
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness of all kitchen and dining areas
- Buss tables, clean dining areas, and assist with general kitchen sanitation tasks
- Follow proper food safety procedures during meal service and food storage
- Support dietary staff with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident needs courteously and professionally
- Assist with meal planning and dietary documentation as required by the department
Experience for the Dietary Aide/Server
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry settings is preferred
- Culinary experience or background in food production is advantageous
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards is essential
- Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal service during busy hours
- Familiarity with serving, bussing, cleaning, and basic kitchen operations is beneficial
- Previous roles involving food preparation, cooking, or dietetics will support success in this position
