Internship Program Overview

Our 10-week summer internship program gives students hands-on experience and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while learning about our organization. Interns will connect with leaders, participate in development sessions like self-assessments and business overviews, and take part in networking and community initiatives. The program concludes with a final presentation to leaders and peers, where interns showcase their work, share ideas, and receive valuable feedback. 

Who we are looking for

This is what you will do

This position contributes to the company success by supporting the Strategic Innovation team in scouting and evaluating innovative therapeutic modalities emerging from academic and research institutes, start-up and early-stage biotech organizations that may provide long-term solutions for patients with rare diseases.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Scout and screen relevant scientific information on new therapeutic opportunities for rare diseases and share findings with the team  
  • Document data in clustered spread sheets and constantly update them as new information becomes available  
  • Present data for review, group discussions, and team meetings  
  • Actively participate in recurring meetings with Strategic Innovation Unit team  
You will need to have
  • Currently pursuing a BS/BA  in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Biologic Sciences with an expected graduation date of Fall 2026 or later 
  • Scientific research experience preferred   
  • Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and evaluating scientific data  
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written, verbal, and face-to-face communication to effectively present information to and influence decision making of managers.  
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and multifunctional resources concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail while responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines.   
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project) and Adobe 
Location

Interns may be based in Boston, MA, Cary, NC, or work remotely.
