Assembler Specialist

As an Assembler Specialist, a typical day might include the following:
Model SEL values.
Assemble and lead others in assembling SEL high-tech products to corporate quality standards.
Evaluate and calibrate equipment and products to ensure precise accuracy at critical levels, while maintaining safety during high voltage testing.
Consistently meet or exceed quality and efficiency expectations.
Assist with troubleshooting moderately technical problems in assigned area.
Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge.
Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with co-workers and internal customers.
Proactively monitor the environment and take action to ensure a safe workplace.
Assist with coordinating the successful implementation of pilots, prototypes, ECO changes, red lights, and stop shipments.
Create/edit work instructions.
Continuously identify, measure, and improve manufacturing processes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Progressively responsible experience in a production environment.
Work within established safety and quality standards
The ability to work overtime as required
The ability to work within minimal supervision
The understanding of product flow throughout Manufacturing
Knowledge of department's production business systems
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
The ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Physical Requirements
Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 40 pounds frequently
Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours
Vision correctable to 20/30 or better

Pinch
Fine finger dexterity sufficient to handle and place parts with precision and accuracy for at least 8 hours.

Pay Range Data
New hires generally start at $20.00 per hour. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills
