As an Assembler Specialist, a typical day might include the following:

  • Model SEL values.

  • Assemble and lead others in assembling SEL high-tech products to corporate quality standards.

  • Evaluate and calibrate equipment and products to ensure precise accuracy at critical levels, while maintaining safety during high voltage testing.

  • Consistently meet or exceed quality and efficiency expectations.

  • Assist with troubleshooting moderately technical problems in assigned area.

  • Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge.

  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with co-workers and internal customers.

  • Proactively monitor the environment and take action to ensure a safe workplace.

  • Assist with coordinating the successful implementation of pilots, prototypes, ECO changes, red lights, and stop shipments.

  • Create/edit work instructions.

  • Continuously identify, measure, and improve manufacturing processes.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

  • The understanding of product flow throughout Manufacturing

  • Knowledge of department's production business systems

  • The ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

  • The ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Physical Requirements

  • Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 40 pounds frequently

  • Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours

  • Vision correctable to 20/30 or better

  • Differentiate color

  • Reach

  • Bend

  • Kneel

  • Twist

  • Grip

  • Pinch

  • Fine finger dexterity sufficient to handle and place parts with precision and accuracy for at least 8 hours.

Pay Range Data

New hires generally start at $20.00 per hour. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills
