Arrow Child Development Center is a licensed, high-quality faith-based in-home preschool in Round Rock serving children ages 1–5. We believe in nurturing the whole child, mind, body, and spirit, through a warm, family-like environment rooted in Biblical values. Our days are filled with prayer, Bible stories, Scripture-based character lessons, and play-based learning that reflects the love of Christ.
We are growing and looking for a skilled, motivated educator who loves the Lord to lead our classroom. This is more than a teaching position... it's a calling. It's an opportunity to help run our preschool day-to-day. The right candidate will confidently manage a classroom, and deliver an engaging, Christ-centered program using our already-purchased curriculum (no lesson planning required, just review, prepare, and teach).
Responsibilities
- Help lead and manage our in-home preschool by creating a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered environment
- Review and implement pre-purchased curriculum, ensuring activities are engaging and developmentally appropriate
- Integrate daily Bible lessons, Scripture memory, worship music, prayer, literacy, early math, social-emotional learning, and gross/fine motor development
- Model Christian character and encourage children to apply Biblical principles in their play and interactions
- Maintain positive classroom management using respectful, encouraging strategies that reflect grace and love
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families through open, consistent, and Christ-like communication
- Assist and support potty training and early communication skill development with patience and encouragement (this includes potty training and diapering)
- Conduct observations, assessments, and progress updates for families
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting learning space that supports active play and exploration
- Ensure compliance with Texas childcare licensing standards
- Collaborate with the owner on program operations and future expansion of our faith-based vision
Requirements
- 21 years old (Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred, or Director's Credential/CDA)
- At least 2 years of experience as a teacher, at a preschool, early learning center, or home-based program
- Strong classroom leadership skills and ability to run a program independently
- Personal commitment to Christian faith and Biblical teaching
- Knowledge of child development and effective, positive guidance strategies
- Passion for play-based, Christ-centered learning
- Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
- Ability to MultI-Task is a must
- Tech-savvy to use our Parent Communication App
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass the background check and meet Texas childcare licensing requirements
Position Details
- Pay: $12–$16/hour ($10,000 to $22,000/year, based on experience & education this includes quarterly bonus incentives)
- Schedule: Mid-Day Part-Time schedule set Monday–Friday, Part-Time (Hours of Operations: 7:15 AM to 5:45 PM... Assistance needed from either 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM
