Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Bilingual Sales Representative to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in engaging with diverse customers, demonstrating products, and driving sales through effective communication and upselling techniques. The Bilingual Sales Representative will play a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals within a fast-paced grocery store setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service in both English and the second language
  • Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits
  • Assist customers with their shopping needs, including merchandising and stocking shelves
  • Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
  • Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Maintain organized displays and ensure merchandise is well-stocked and presentable
  • Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed
  • Provide support with basic retail math for pricing, discounts, and transactions
  • Ensure adherence to phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or in person
  • Supervise or assist less experienced team members when necessary, fostering a collaborative work environment

Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and the second language (e.g., Spanish) is required
  • Previous experience in retail sales, grocery store environment, or customer service preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering, and basic retail math skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
  • Experience in product demos, upselling, merchandising, and stock management is a plus
  • Supervising experience is desirable but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
