Our financial services client is looking for an Associate Creative Director, Copy to join their team full-time. The Associate Creative Director, Copy will manage a team of four copywriters and partner with the Creative Director in concepting omnichannel content with a focus on direct marketing. The ideal candidate is a
strong manager
that can set their writers up for success in aligning creative and business objectives across projects. They will also have a portfolio that shows integrated marketing copywriting experience across print and digital channels.

Candidates must be available to work onsite 3 days per week in Baltimore, MD (preferred) or Wilmington, DE.
Relocation assistance is available.
Associate Creative Director, Copy Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of four copywriters, fostering growth and creative excellence.
  • Oversee the development of compelling copy across digital, social, UX, direct mail, and print channels.
  • Partner with UX team members to align copy with UX principles across touchpoints.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain consistency and clarity of messaging throughout the organization.
  • Drive strategic storytelling and content innovation, ensuring copy supports business goals and user needs.
  • Review and refine copy deliverables, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to brand voice.
  • Present and defend creative work to stakeholders, providing rationale and strategic context.
  • Manage workflow and prioritize projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Translate business objectives into creative strategies that drive acquisition and origination efforts.
  • Champion brand voice and tone across all channels, ensuring consistency and clarity.
  • Push creative thinking while balancing executional excellence and organizational priorities.
  • Support a culture of collaboration, accountability, and creative output.

Associate Creative Director, Copy Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of copywriting experience, with at least 4 years in a management or mentorship role.
  • Strong background working in agency and in-house environments.
  • Proven experience managing content across UX, digital, social, email, and direct mail.
  • Demonstrated success managing and mentoring creative teams.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and conceptual skills with a focus on direct marketing best practices.
  • Experience producing content at scale, ideally within a large organization.
  • Financial services experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Samples required for consideration.
  • Must be available to work onsite in a hybrid capacity.
