JOB SUMMARY
As a Project Lead (Consultant or Manager) at INSIGHT2PROFIT, you will lead the successful delivery of complex pricing and profitability initiatives by collaborating closely with client stakeholders and internal teams. You will oversee multiple workstreams simultaneously, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality outcomes. Serving as the primary client contact, you will build strong relationships and act as trusted advisors. You will guide and mentor a team of Associates and Analysts, fostering their professional growth and maintaining high performance standards. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on analytical expertise to translate business challenges into actionable solutions. You will drive client leadership by effectively communicating insights and recommendations in executive settings.
Depending on experience and demonstrated capabilities, this position may be filled at the Consultant or Manager level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day-to-day client communications, including facilitating project team calls and client working sessions.
- Lead the development and execution, or oversight and validation, of advanced pricing analyses and profitability diagnostics
- using large transaction datasets; guide the design of tools and methodologies to identify profit improvement opportunities.
- Formulate hypotheses, design tests, and generate actionable insights to uncover profit improvement opportunities.
- Serve as the primary analytical contact for pricing excellence initiatives within client engagements.
- Facilitate communications with mid- to senior-level stakeholders to make decisions and drive action.
- Translate business challenges into pricing strategies and actionable insights.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations in client workshops and executive meetings.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, actionable client deliverables across workstreams.
- Support ad hoc analysis and model development to meet evolving project needs.
- Provide guidance and oversight for data validation and analytical execution performed by Associates and Analysts; manage and mentor Associates and Analysts with clear guidance and focused development.
- Set and uphold quality standards for consistent team output.
- Serve as a visible cultural ambassador and role model for INSIGHT's core values.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, economics,statistics, actuarial science, data science, mathematics, engineering, computer science or a related field.
- Preferred: Master of Business Administration or related advanced degree.
Work Experience
- Minimum:
- Consultant: a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in consulting, pricing strategy, or a related field.
- Manager: a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in consulting, pricing strategy, or a related field.
- Preferred: Experience in or exposure to B2B manufacturing and/or distribution.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Minimum:
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
- Experience with pricing strategy, pricing analytics, margin optimization, or sales strategy.
- Proven experience planning, coordinating, and executing projects, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders using data-driven insights.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Power Pivot, and Teams.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a driven, ambitious, and action-oriented approach and a strong sense of personal accountability.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including potential international travel.
The annual salary range for this position is $105,000 - $150,000, commensurate with skills, relevant experience and final position level (Consultant or Manager). Employees may also be eligible to participate in the annual discretionary bonus program.
