Job Description

As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Patrol in Rancho Cordova, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, support a secure environment, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards specific to chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain compliance with site policies.
  • Report and document any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or hazards encountered during patrols or while on duty.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and first responders as necessary during emergency situations or drills, following location-specific procedures.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related threats or suspicious activities and communicate observations to supervisors and/or law enforcement as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
