The Role

IPC is seeking a Production Coordinator to join our growing operations team at our Compton/Rancho Dominguez facility. The Production Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring that daily production activities run smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule.

This position bridges communication between Production, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales, ensuring that customer orders are completed on time and that resources are allocated effectively. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where teamwork and coordination drive results.

Key Responsibilities

Production Scheduling & Coordination

  • Translate open sales orders and forecasts into clear, actionable production schedules.
  • Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure schedules are achievable and properly staffed.
  • Adjust priorities based on capacity, material availability, or rush orders.

Communication & Workflow Management

  • Serve as the point of contact between Production, Warehouse, Procurement, and Customer Service teams.
  • Communicate production timelines, updates, and delays proactively to internal stakeholders.
  • Support daily production meetings to review priorities and resolve issues.

Material & Order Readiness

  • Verify that required materials, components, and packaging are available for upcoming jobs.
  • Work closely with Procurement to track purchase orders and prevent material shortages.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse for timely movement of materials and finished goods.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor production progress against the plan and help identify bottlenecks.
  • Support tracking of key metrics such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and efficiency.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate data in the ERP/MRP system.

Process Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Help streamline communication and workflow between departments.
  • Contribute to process-improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, speed, and coordination.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in production coordination, scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a proactive communication style.
  • Able to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Team player who works effectively across departments to achieve shared goals.
