Your Tasks
The Luxury Quality lead will provide OTC drug and cosmetic quality assurance and compliance support for the NA market and for global activities. Key responsibilities include implementing, executing, and improving, technical quality support for the business. This includes direct support for DC's, co-packers, carriers, customers, consumers, internal operations, and 3PM/PC manufacturing support. The position is responsible for protecting brand integrity, supporting product availability, for Quality Management System (QMS) compliance, on-shelf assessments, and incident management.
- Manage the quality management system with all necessary SOPs (create documents, release documents, regular review of documents), issue quality reports, ensure QMS is up to date with relevant regulations
- Inform and support Responsible Person`s (EU, China etc)
- Manage the complaint management system, handle deviations and OOS properly
- Manage the recall system as well as traceability (end to end)
- Implement a supplier qualification system for HQ and manage 3PMs as well as other relevant suppliers (e.g. packaging)
- Lead quality process improvements and create relevant processes
- Ensure internal audits, as well as internal and external trainings
- Ensure Change management and change management system
- Identify, manage, and escalate project milestones to achieve success within realistic timelines
- Track, manage, own, and resolve all project conflicts to achieve high internal satisfaction for the period of the project and present during Project Meetings, regarding Quality topics
- Manage supplier qualification including 3rd Party Manufacturers and packaging suppliers
- Ensure that quality agreements are in place and cosmetic and OTC GMP requirements are met
- Perform necessary audits (self or by a 3rd Party)
- Steer suppliers, monitor them and ensure quality level. Supervise tasks/responsibility delegated to the 3PM`s & suppliers
- Manage complaints and ensure proper investigation as well as corrective and preventive action plans
- Guide and develop suppliers in quality topics
- Release standard & color samples (masters) in alignment with R&D
- Ensure compliance with OTC and Cosmetic regulations.
- Ensure the availability of required Cosmetic and OTC reports (annual report, stability studies)
- Ensure knowledge and related processes in organization
- Implement Quality KPI monitoring and escalation via SOP
- Customer and Consumer complaints tracking, reporting, CAPA,
- Complaint root cause investigation and PPM trend reduction
- Implement and manage local QMS manual & SOPs in all assigned CUs; support stakeholder needs
- Trainings, implementation monitoring & internal audits; track development of global QMS
- Ensure alignment of local processes and procedures to Beiersdorf and regulatory standards
Your Profile
- 7+ years of related experience, Expert knowledge of cGMP and overall FDA requirements and guidelines for OTC and Cosmetic products
- University degree in technical discipline. Biology, Engineering, Microbiology, or Chemistry preferred.
- Expert knowledge of Quality processes.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strategic thinking and tactical focus.
- Team player, good communication and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent and effective follow-up skills
- Ability to lead, facilitate and influence decisions across cross functional teams.
- Ability to process and present technical information
- Continuous improvement mind-set
- Resilient, able to keep composure in challenging and dynamic environment
