Job Title: HR Administrator (Temporary)

Location: Piscataway, NJ
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The HR Administrator provides administrative support to the Human Resources department, with a focus on benefits administration, HR operations, and support assigned HRBP. This role ensures accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency in daily HR processes while delivering excellent service to employees and internal stakeholders.

Please note that this role is a temporary assignment lasting up to 6 months. The pay-rate is $24 to $25 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM - 5:30 PM with a 30 minute unpaid lunch. Lunch is provided. This role is based onsite with flexibility to work from home on Fridays. 

Key Responsibilities

Benefits Administration Support

  • Assist with employee benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations in HR and benefit systems.
  • Maintain accurate employee benefits records and ensure timely updates.
  • Support benefit processes, including communication, data entry, and coordination with vendors.
  • Review benefit invoices for accuracy and prepare for payment processing.

HR Operations & Generalist Support

  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system and personnel files.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing new hire documents and exit materials.
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance tracking (I-9s, EEO, COBRA, etc.).
  • Help coordinate HR communications, announcements, and engagement activities.
  • Support performance review and training administration processes.
  • Provide general administrative support to HR team members as needed.

Employee Support & Communication

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of HR administrative or coordinator experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, benefits administration, and employment laws a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with HRIS or benefits platforms preferred.
