Job Overview

Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your dedication to patient care makes a meaningful difference every day. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to patients across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your energy and empathy will help promote comfort, safety, and dignity for those in your care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in diverse clinical areas while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals committed to excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being.
  • Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or behavioral health conditions.
  • Utilize advanced skills like phlebotomy and catheter care to support diagnostic procedures and ongoing treatment plans.
  • Operate patient lift equipment including Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers.
  • Follow aseptic techniques diligently during wound care or invasive procedures to prevent infection.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency medicine, or surgical units to deliver seamless patient service.
  • Assist with medical documentation and ensure accurate recording of patient information using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks.
  • Support patients across various environments including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home & community care settings, and post-acute care facilities.
  • Demonstrate physiology and anatomy knowledge to recognize abnormal signs and respond appropriately in urgent or trauma situations such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma experience.
  • Engage with patients of all ages—from pediatrics to geriatrics—delivering personalized caregiving that respects individual needs and cultural sensitivities.

Experience

Candidates should possess prior experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU, PICU), nursing homes, hospice care, or outpatient clinics. Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner is highly valued. A background in critical care, medical-surgical units, behavioral health settings, or specialty areas like infectious disease or geriatrics will enhance your application. Certification in basic life support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy training or DME (Durable Medical Equipment) experience are advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people with disabilities or developmental challenges is preferred. Candidates must exhibit excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
